Hello Everyone!

How has everyone's summer been going?  It was wonderful seeing so many of you at today's AGM. 

For those who haven’t heard the news—I’m back! And for those who don’t know me, let me introduce myself. I’m Jenn, and I’ve been part of the SGSC team for almost two years. This past spring, I took a step back as the Volunteer Coordinator and moved back to the States. I’m currently living in Massachusetts, enjoying the beach, and still adjusting to the humidity!

About a month ago, Jag reached out to see if I would consider working remotely for our wonderful Centre. 

As many of you know I LOVED working for you and I am thrilled to be back in action.

I’m now the “Grants and Fundraising Coordinator.” Over the past month, I’ve been researching various grant and funding opportunities. In the coming weeks, we’ll be hosting round table discussions about different funding possibilities.

We’re already gearing up for our biggest fundraising event of the season—the Winter Bazaar and Holiday Celebration. We’re in need of raffle items, and I could really use some help from my volunteer team. Although I’m not there in person, I’m confident that with a “team approach,” we can secure donations from local businesses, friends, and neighbors for our raffle.
