Please bring on by your household items, jewelry, kitchen supplies, small furniture, and ornaments in good or very good condition. Please deliver donations directly to a staff member or receptionist. Join us to kick off the month of May with some musical performances! Your ticket to attend is good for attending both days. On May 1st, we will have a visit from a 42 student concert band, and on May 2nd, we will have a visit from a 21 student choir. They will grace us with a repertoire that is a rich and diverse blend of musical genres, showcasing the versatility and talent of both groups’ members. Don’t miss out!

If you would like help applying for coverage or renewing , please bring your 2024 Notice of Assessment, SIN, address & mailing address, and if applicable, disability tax certificate and a list of other government social programs that you are enrolled in.

Join us for an afternoon of bowling, sure to be filled with strikes, spares, and endless fun at Canada’s oldest bowling alley: Commodore Lanes! We will be taking public transit to and from the venue, located at 838 Granville Street, with bowling starting at ~1:00 pm. Cost includes 3 games of 5-pin bowling, bowling shoes (bring your own socks!), and coffee or tea.

El Mercadito de los Miércoles. Come do your shopping for Latin products! These are items that local vendors bring, so you don’t have to travel all the way to their stores to get the products we all love. On the last Wednesday of every month, we’ll have 4 vendors offering products in small, affordable portions specially for our seniors.

Join us for the most relaxing afternoon of your week! We will visit Catoro Cafe, relax in their forest-themed lounge, and play with and enjoy the company of their adorable cats. We have an exclusive 50 minutes with the Cafe where only we will be present! You can also enjoy some bubble tea or a snack while interacting with the cute cats. Cost includes both entry and transportation.

There is much planned, including a special lunch, live music by Agustín, featuring classics from yesterday and today. “I joined the South Granville Seniors Centre in 2004 and worked as a dishwasher for the Wednesday group, then I moved to the reception job. I was born in Fiji Islands, moved to Vancouver in 1970. It was a big adjustment for me [and] apart from speaking English I speak Hindi. I enjoy working at South Granville Seniors Centre and I would like to thank Ms. Danna, Ms. Gina and our new staff Ms. Linda. They all are very accommodating and welcoming.
